Accessibility & Inclusivity at Bunkers Hill

Inclusivity is at the heart of Bunkers Hill. We want everyone to feel comfortable, respected and safe, regardless of age, background, identity or ability, and we actively work with organisations across Nottingham to turn that commitment into meaningful action.

We are an accredited Safe Space venue through the Nottingham Safe Space Pledge, working alongside It’s in Nottingham, the Consent Coalition and Nottinghamshire Police to provide a recognised place where people can seek support and feel safe.

We have also supported The Pastel Project’s ‘Your Spaces Too’ campaign, promoting a safe and welcoming environment for trans people. Customers are supported in using the facilities aligned with their gender identity, and we provide non-gendered toilet facilities where possible.

Our strong relationship with Nottingham’s LGBTQ+ community extends throughout the year. We transform the pub for Nottinghamshire Pride and partner with Proud Forest, Nottingham Forest’s official LGBTQ+ supporters’ group, as a designated venue for watching the clubs away fixtures in a friendly and inclusive environment.

The lower ground floor is accessible, and our team is always available to assist guests. As Bunkers Hill is a historic listed building, installing a lift to the upper floor is unfortunately not possible without compromising the building’s heritage.

From Panthers supporters and gig-goers to Pride visitors, pool players and customers attending our charity music events, Bunkers Hill brings together an incredibly diverse community. Our aim is simple: whoever walks through our doors should feel that Bunkers Hill is a pub for them.
